Visits
to NATO by the President of the Republic of Moldova

June 2003:
the President of Moldova, H.E. Mr. Vladimir
Voronin visited NATO Headquarters and meet with
NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson followed by
a joint Point de Presse with the Secretary
General.

President of Moldova, H.E. Mr. Vladimir Voronin
visited the NATO Headquarters, met with the NATO
Secretary General, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and
addressed the North Atlantic
Council.

June 2006: H.E. Mr.Vladimir Voronin, President
of Moldova, paid a visit to NATO Headquarters
on Thursday 22 June 2006. He had a meeting with
the Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Alessandro
Minuto Rizzo.

January 2007: The Foreign and Defence Ministers
of Moldova briefed NATO Ambassadors on the reform
process in the Republic of Moldova during a
visit to NATO HQ.

June 2007: The President of Moldova, Vladimir
Voronin, visited NATO Headquarters for talks
with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer
on the regional security environment.

July 2007: Moldova's Foreign Minister and
the Acting Defence Minister visited NATO HQ
to exchange views on regional security and to
discuss Moldova's progress in implementing its
Individual Partnership Action Plan with NATO.
Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs
and European Integration Andrei Stratan and
Acting Minister of Defence General Ion Coropcean
held a bilateral meeting with NATO Secretary
General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, and then addressed
a session of the North Atlantic Council.

December 2007: The President of the Republic
of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, visited the NATO
Headquarters and met with the Secretary General.
They discussed issues related to regional security.
The Secretary General welcomed Moldova's constructive
attitude in finding solutions to the regional
security challenges. President Voronin and the
Secretary General also talked about Moldova's
Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) with
NATO and Moldova's efforts towards defence reform.

Visits
to Moldova by NATO Secretary General

September 2004: the NATO Secretary General,
Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, traveled to Chisinau where
he met with President Vladimir Voronin, with Minister
of Foreign Affairs Andrei Stratan and Minister
of Defence Victor Gaiciuc. The visit ended by
a joint meeting with the press with Minister of
Foreign Affairs Stratan and Defence Minister Gaiciuc,
followed by a point de press with the NATO Secretary
General. |
